When should I post a closed sign?
Any time you're closed during normal business hours. Customers and delivery drivers walking up to a locked door without explanation leave a worse impression than a clean note explaining what happened. Always include the return time when you have one.
Should I print this in color?
Color helps the sign get noticed from a distance. The Charcoal and Olive palettes look great in color print but use more toner. The Bone (white) palette saves toner and works fine on cheap printers.
How big should the sign be?
This prints at 8.5x11 standard letter size, which is right for most door windows. If you need bigger, set your printer to 'fit to page' on tabloid (11x17) for a window display version.
