Why posted hours matter for restaurants
Hours visible from the door are the cheapest customer-experience upgrade you can make. A clean, current sign is read by every walk-in, every delivery driver, every health inspector, and every prospective hire. A taped-up handwritten note signals the opposite of what you want it to.

Do I have to post my hours legally?
Most jurisdictions don't require it, but many local health codes and ADA guidelines recommend clearly posted hours visible from outside the restaurant. Check your city's signage code if you have a storefront facing a public sidewalk.
Can I use this for an ADA-compliant sign?
The base typography in all three templates uses high-contrast text and clear sans-serif/serif fonts. For a fully ADA-compliant sign mounted at standard heights, you may also need raised lettering or Braille — those are typically separate signs from the hours-of-operations sign visible at the door.
How often should I update my hours sign?
Update any time your hours change, including seasonal hours and major holidays. Customers and review platforms penalize businesses whose posted hours don't match reality. Many operators print a new sign quarterly.
